Fordingbridge Nursing Aids Trust

The Trust is able to offer financial help to any resident within the catchment area of the Fordingbridge GPs and who is affected by disability or illness. Grants can be provided to assist with the care and well being of those affected and who otherwise wouldn't have the financial means to help themselves. Referrals for a grant can be made through, amongst others, the GPs' surgery, social workers and local church leaders. Requests can also come direct from relatives. Playing Field and Playground

Martin benefits from a playing field which belongs to New Forest District Council but is managed by Martin Parish Council. Facilities include swings and a slide, goal posts and well kept grass.

The facilities are subject to an annual RoSPA safety inspection and a weekly inspection carried out by a parishioner.

Pre-school nursery group

Registered by Ofsted to provide nursery education for children from 2 yrs 9 months. Open Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday mornings per week during term time 9:15am - 1pm in the Blandford Hall. The nursery has close links with Western Downland Primary School.

2. Martin to Damerham, Sandleheath and Fordingbridge
School bus runs Monday to Friday during term time; also accepts fare-paying passengers; Wilts and Dorset service 684.

3. Martin to Fordingbridge
A taxi-share scheme runs on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Thursdays and Fridays between Martin and Fordingbridge. Arrival in Fordingbridge 9:40am. Departure at 12 noon or 1:45pm. These times connect with the X3 bus service to Salisbury. Service must be booked, giving at least 1 hour's notice. Call 01962 846786 to register and receive information on how to book.

4. Martin Drove End to Salisbury, Blandford, Dorchester and Weymouth (and stops en route)
Daily; Wilts and Dorset service 184. Also service 302 (Tuesdays only)

5. Call and Go
