We have an ongoing list of village residents who are willing to offer their help in the case of an emergency when normal services cannot reach us. The help may be medical, veterinary, heavy machinery, 4x4 vehicles, fuel, clean water etc. If you have already offered to lend a hand you may wish to revise it or if you are new to the village you may wish to join us. The list is kept privately by those at the top of the telephone trickle. Please contact either myself or the clerk to register Susan Sampson, Chairperson email@example.com Edwin Macknamara, Clerk. firstname.lastname@example.org

In an attempt to avoid a repetition of last year's serious flooding on Martin's roads, Hampshire County Council have dug out and cleared a lot of the ditches between the village and the Blandford road. The work is not finished and culverts still have to be jetted. Following consultations and site meetings with the Parish Council the County have agreed that marker posts should be erected where the verge is now very narrow. We look forward to having the work completed shortly.
Paradise Lane in East Martin has now been cut and makes a very good autumn walk.
