We are seeking your advice and help

The Parish Council are constantly receiving good ideas from people in the village about ways of improving life generally for the people of Martin parish.  Our 'Project Fund' gives us the opportunity to put one or two of these proposals into effect. The suggested projects at present include:

- improved equipment for the playing area.

- a speed indicator device ( bought jointly with surrounding villages).

- improvements to footpaths.

- creation of new footpaths, notably towards Tidpit.

- possible alterations to the Village Green

We are now asking all the people in Martin parish, to take part in a consultation exercise, which will guide the decisions that the Parish Council need to make in 2020. There will be two main opportunities to let the Council know your views:

Saturday afternoon, 3pm - 5pm, of January 18th at the Martin Club.

Saturday morning, 10am - 12.30pm, of January 25th at the Blandford Hall.

Members of the Parish Council will be present on both occasions. There will be stickers for you to use and tell us which of the different projects that you would like to support and encourage.

We would be delighted to see as many people as possible join in this exercise, so please come along on either January 18th or 25th.

Acquiring a defibrillator has taken a very long time, but the Parish Council is delighted to announce that a fully functioning defibrillator is now in the village, awaiting the cabinet to be installed on the outside wall at the Blandford Hall. No special training is needed as the machine talks people through what is needed in case of an emergency.
